Reykjavik Marathon Bjorn Steinbekk (Off To Iceland )

An overview of Iceland – Drone of the day

The team from “Off To Iceland” has been traveling around Iceland with his team and shooting Iceland from angles that very few people have seen. We got the license to share some of these pictures with you.

This project is dedicated to bringing those with interest in Iceland a daily dose of this beautiful island. Personally its extremely rewarding task, both promoting Iceland but also connecting to nature on a greater scale.

This all, of course, services a purpose that is to enlighten and educate future travelers and also, assist local companies in creating awareness about them through digital events and mesmerizing content.

General note to those wanting to shoot drone footage in Iceland

1) Do not exceed a maximum height of 120 meters, in feet that would be just under 400.

2) Usage of any drones is not allowed near government or military (not that there are many) facilities.

3) Only fly them during the daylight, and only when the weather allows (calm winds, sunny, etc…).

And, please keep the drone in sight – There are to may lost in nature already and we want to keep that from happening.

Guide to Iceland has a helpful page on drone shooting.
