American president election: Barack Obama’s team encouraged by voters turn out

According to the BBC some 29.000.000 people have gone through the pre-voting in the American president election. There is a strong feeling that history is going to be made in the US tonight. According to the BBC people that never voted are flocking to cast their vote and take part in this unique moment in history.

Despite polls predicting Obama’s victory there is still a strong conviction that Republican John McCain will take this on the last metres. Among McCain supporters are Arnold Schwarzenegger that still believes that McCain can win this election. The polling stations are being closed one by one, among them are Indiana, Kentucky, Vermont, Georgia and Virginia.
