Reykjavík Internet Marketing Conference focuses on the “Digitalization of marketing” for 2016

In its 13th year, the Reykjavík Internet Marketing Conference (RIMC) is taking place on February 12th 2016 at Hotel Reykjavík Natura.

RIMC attracts some of the biggest names in internet marketing, and 2016 is no exception. With guest speakers such as the Senior Digital Marketing Manager at Lloyds Banking Group Russell O’Sullivan, SMFB’s Digital Director Christian Raae, and Co-Founder and CEO of Supertanker John Jacobsen, participants are sure to leave brimming with knowledge of the ever-changing digital marketing landscape. Other notable speakers include Dan Patmore of Argos, Dave Naylor of Bronco, Davide Corradi of Expedia Inc., Einar Ben of Tjarnagatan/T-Street, Lauga Oskarsdottir of United Influencers, Pierre Far of Deliberate Digital, and Samantha Noble of Koozai with Bas van den Beld of State of Digital as the lead moderator.

“The digitalization of marketing has become a crucial step for brands. As things develop faster and faster, these same brands are starting to better understand that they can live without advertising, but not without marketing” says Conference Chair Kristján Már Hauksson. “Modern communications allows for this, and we are at a junction where brands either get it, or they don’t.”

As one of the top conferences for businesses and individuals engaged with digital marketing and communications, industry experts and entrepreneurs gather at the one day event to share ideas and gain information on how to improve their digital presence. At this year’s conference, speakers will bring their experiences and expertise on the subject of digitalization of marketing and communications.

Curated and organized by The Engine Iceland, a local digital marketing agency with a catalogue of international clients, RIMC attracts delegates from all over the world who travel to Iceland specifically to participate in the conference.

The conference begins at 09:00, with registration opening at 08:00, and includes a complimentary light breakfast as well as light refreshments throughout the day. A networking cocktail will take place at the end of the day. Tickets to RIMC 2016 can be purchased here.
