The Central Bank of Iceland decided to offer certificates of deposits. They will be available on tap as of October 3, 2008.
The Central Bank will continue to pay interest on the certificate on a weekly basis on the Bank’s regular business days. The certificates can also be repaid on the same dates. The certificates are eligible for clearing settlement and custody in Clearstream.
