A Danish pensioner is feared murdered after what looks like a robbery at his holiday home in the Philippines. Svend-Erik Hansen, 65, who has visited the country several times a year for a number of years, was reportedly found dead in his holiday home, which had been cleared of valuables.
Writing in an email to bt.dk, Mr Hansen’s daughter said, “He was killed in his own holiday house after which anything of value in the house was taken.”
Police in the Philippines have confirmed the death but have so far not commented on the possible cause.
“It does not look like an accident, but we are unable to say any more now as investigations are ongoing,” a Pampanga police spokesman told bt.dk.
