MP picks porn for political statement

A Danish member of the European Parliament has posted a pornographic video on his Facebook page, saying the contents remind him of opposition party policies. Liberal bad boy Jens Rohde uploaded the clip, which shows a man in a black hoodie tearing the clothes of seemingly unsuspecting women, with the comment: “Why is it that my mind wanders to S and SF [Social Democrat and Socialist People’s Party] economic policies when I see this video?”

The footage, which Rohde has shared with all 4,215 of his Facebook ‘friends’, was taken from website efukt.com, which runs under the tagline: “Porn you wish you never saw”. But after one of the MEP’s female ‘friends’ commented that the snippet is “disgusting and insulting”, Rohde showed little remorse for his controversial upload.

“That was a rather harsh statement to make :-) But when you consider the consequences of their [opposition] interest rates, my view can easily be defended,” he wrote. “I’m convinced that the man in the black hoodie is Harald Borsting [the head of trade union LO]. Over the past few weeks, he has done little more than undress Helle [Thorning-Schmidt] and Villy [Sovndal]. Disgusting and insulting indeed!” he continued.

Rohde reduced politics to a sexual level before in 2006, when Thorning-Schmidt referred to him as a stray missile. “She is yet to see my missile, so I’m not too worried about what she says,” he quipped in reply.
