Keflavik International Airport announces March Travel Raffle winner

keflavik_airport_sunset_small13Iceland’s Keflavik International Airport has recently announced the winner of the Travel Raffle for March. The airport, in conjunction with Icelandair, are proud to announce that Caraline Zeizel from the USA has won a free trip for two to Iceland and three nights at a luxury hotel, just in time for the summer.

Since last November, passengers at Keflavik International Airport have received lucky numbers from numerous duty free stores within the Leif Eriksson terminal; these numbers are based on the amount spent on discount goods.

Tickets eligible for entry into the Travel Raffle can be received at any of the eighteen different retailers within the duty free zone. Goods such as cosmetics, clothing and electrical equipment can be found, with some up to half the price of stores in Reykjavik. Other products like tobacco and confectionary goods are also available.

Furthermore, Keflavik International Airport has been crowned the best airport in Europe, as stated in the Airport Service Quality survey conducted by the ACI. According to the survey, the airport achieved high marks for passenger satisfaction in 2009. Partakers stated how grateful they were with the extensive airport facilities, warm atmosphere, friendly staff and easy accessibility of connecting flights.
