Six stabbed at Swedish wedding

A fairytale wedding at a Swedish castle ended in a horror story this week after a guest went on the rampage, stabbing six people.

The reception party in Eslov, southern Sweden, had to be cut short on Saturday afternoon when a fight broke out between a 52 year-old man and several other guests.

One person was initially stabbed in the stomach by the 52 year-old, before chaos ensued and another five guests suffered knife wounds. The six partygoers were admitted to Skane University Hospital, but no one sustained life-threatening injuries, according to reports.

No motive has been established for the attack, but the man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault. He was also treated in hospital for head injuries which he received during the fight.

Police have already questioned several eye-witnesses from the wedding and are waiting to speak to the injured once they have been released from hospital.
