Birgitta Jonsdottir Pirate leader to Lord Julian Fellows “Shame on you” (VIDEO)

Birgitta Jonsdottir, parliamentarian for the Pirate party was a guest in Skavlan, Scandinavia’s most popular talk show last night along with UK’s Julian Fellowes, author of Downton Abbey and a Conservative peer of the House of Lords. The two exchanged some harsh words and at one point Jonsdottir told Fellowes “shame on you”.

Jonsdottir was asked about her own involvement with Wikileaks and whether she thought they had gone to far in their involvement with the US Presidential elections. Jonsdottir replied that in this case Wikileaks had gone too far but that she stands by their activities between the years 2009 to 2012. Fellowes interrupted Jónsdóttir stating that he disagreed with everything Wikileaks stood for. “It is absurd to think that you can govern a country by using traitors to release protected information,” said Fellowes.

“Shame on you. Shame on you,” Jónsdóttir then said. “Whistleblowers, who blow the whistle on corrupt governments and war crimes are not traitors. Shame on you!” A comment that received a surge of applause in the audience.

Lara Hanna Einarsdottir released the video on YouTube earlier today it’s in English with Swedish subtitles.
