Finland’s bikini-clad pool festival to return

Good news boys: Finland’s bikini-clad pool festival to returnMales in Finland will be rejoicing at the news that Finland’s bikini-clad pool party festival is set to return next year.

What makes Waterland 2015 so unique is that it is not held in the height of the summer when Finland might be experiencing warmer climes, but at the beginning of March when the Nordic country is likely to be feet deep in snow.

Handsome men and hot women will head in their droves to the Serena Waterpark near Helsinki on 6 and 7 March next year to join in the party atmosphere at the huge artificial setting, which can hold thousands of revellers and is heated to near tropical temperatures.

There is a large, shallow main pool below the DJ booth and a sprawling platform further back, making it ideal for a dance party. However, it is the crowd that is the main attraction because most of them will have spent months either wrapping up from the cold outside or sitting beside a warm fire inside. So when they get the chance to strip down to their bathing suits the energy is huge.

Organisers have yet to announce the line-up, but whoever is playing is sure to be part of a fun-filled two-day extravaganza.
