Mugison adds more free concerts to create Christmas round-Iceland tour

People love a freebie — especially when it is a concert by one of Iceland’s biggest contemporary music stars. After “selling out” of free tickets to his concert at the 1,600-seat Eldborg concert hall at Reykjavík’s Harpa concert and conference centre, Mugison added two other free concerts, which also “sold out” in record time. Now the artist has announced five more free concerts elsewhere in Iceland before Christmas.

The reason for the free Mugison concerts is to say ‘thank you’ for the great reception his new album Haglél has received over the last two months, the artist says. Over 12,000 copies have been sold so far; which is a lot in such a small country.

In addition to the free concerts in Harpa at 19.30 and 22.00 on 22nd December, for which no more tickets are available; Mugison will also play for free in Akureyri (twice), Bolungarvík, Seyðisfjörður and the Westman Islands (see below).
