KR crowned undisputed Icelandic football champions

The men’s football (soccer) team from the Reykjavik sports club KR yesterday sealed victory in the Pepsi League, meaning they have taken the domestic double after claiming the Valitor Cup back in August.

KR finished off their league campaign with a 3-2 victory over Fylkir yesterday.

They finish the league season having lost only one match — drawing in seven games and winning 13.

In other football news from yesterday, FH beat IBV by four goals to two; Breidablik made the most of their trip to Akureyri and got three points by beating Thor 2-1. Vikingur beat Keflavik, also by two goals to one.

Stjarnan (internationally famous for their crazy goal celebrations) destroyed Valur 5-0 and Fram managed to avoid relegation with their 2-1 win over Grindavik, RUV reported.
