Kofi Annan, the Nobel Peace Prize holder and former United Nations Secretary General, is set to visit Iceland next month.
Kofi Annan will be the keynote speaker at the University of Iceland hundredth anniversary symposium on the 7th October. The symposium will be called “Challenges of the 21st Century”.
As the name suggests, Visir.is reports, the symposium will focus on the many challenges humankind faces in this newly-begun century: challenges including climate change, health, sustainability, poverty and overpopulation.
Kofi Annan will be in Iceland at the invite of President Olafur Ragnar Grimsson.
