Eidur Gudjohnsen going Greek

The Icelandic international footballer Eidur Gudjohnsen is in the very final stages of signing for AEK Athens — one of the most successful Greek football clubs.

According to Morgunbladid, Gudjohnsen is on his way to the Greek capital today to sign a two year contract with the club.

AEK supporters seem happy with the move and crowds are expected to welcome him today.

Eidur Smari Gudjohnsen is 32 years-old and Greece will be the sixth country his professional career has taken him to live. He has played for Valur and KR in Iceland, PSV in the Netherlands, Barcelona in Spain, Monaco in France and Chelsea, Bolton, Tottenham Hotspur, Stoke and Fulham in England.
