Both the men’s and women’s national football (soccer) teams from Greenland are currently in Iceland on training tours. Both teams have already played their first friendly matches against Icelandic teams.
The men’s team took on first division side Grotta, from Seltjarnarnes near Reykjavik. That match finished 3-3 after an interesting and closely-fought 90 minutes, KNR reports. The match was 2-0 to Greenland at one stage.
The Greenlandic women’s international side lost their match against second division IR by three goals to nil. All of the goals came in the second half of the match.
The men from Greenland will meet Reykjavik team Throttur tomorrow.
