Denmark and Sweden both make Eurovision final

The remaining two Nordic nations who performed in tonight’s second semi-final for the Eurovision Song Contest both made it through to the final on Saturday.

Denmark’s big-haired punk-rock pop ballad ‘New Tomorrow’ by A Friend in London proved to be one of Europe’s ten favourites of tonight’s 19 songs.

Another of the lucky ten was Eric Saade from Sweden, with his sexy 80s-tinged techno tune ‘Popular’.

Both will join Finland and Iceland among Saturday’s 25 finalists for the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Dusseldorf, Germany.
