Easter Monday

Today is Easter Monday; the day following Easter Day and a public holiday across the Nordic region.

It is the fifth day of the long Easter weekend and is generally used for relaxation, preparing for work or school tomorrow and finishing off Easter eggs.

Easter Monday is not a religious holiday and originally marked the start of a whole week-long secular post-Easter holiday; but that was cut down to a single day during the 1800s.
