Icesave contracts leaked online

An individual or group calling themselves the Union of Interested Parties in Open Administration has published the unabridged Icesave contracts between Iceland and the UK and Iceland and the Netherlands on the internet.

Although details of the recently-negotiated deals have been made public, the documents themselves remained secret until now.

The contract with the United Kingdom runs to 30 pages; while the Dutch contract is half longer, at 64 pages. There are also three connected documents on the website, including a draft of the agreement between the Icelandic depositors’ insurance fund and the Dutch central bank.
