Reykjavik mayor taken ill by new tattoo of city logo

Mayor of Reykjavik, Jon Gnarr has been in isolation in hospital due to an infection in his arm.

Jon Gnarr recently got himself a new tattoo with the Reykjavik shield on it; but it quickly got infected. Gnarr said on his Facebook diary yesterday that he feels quite miserable.

The infection is slowly getting better, but at its worst, it caused a rash all over the mayor’s body and allergic reactions including itchiness and cold flashes, RUV reports.

Doctors have been treating the mayor with anti allergy drugs and antibiotics, as well as steroid injections.
