Lufthansa emergency landing at Keflavik International Airport

An aircraft from the German airline, Lufthansa landed at Keflavik International Airport at approximately 6.40 this morning due to food positioning which occurred among the passengers. The aeroplane was flying from New York to Munich and the decision was made to land the aeroplane when six passengers started to show symptoms of food poisoning. this has not yet been officially confirmed, however.

Three ambulances were waiting when the aircraft landed and carried six passengers to a nearby hospital. According to a KEF airport spokesman the aircraft will be stopping in Iceland for the time being.
