(Icelandic government press release): The Government of Iceland has for the last three weeks been engaged in a dialogue with the Governments of the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, hoping for a resolution of the Icesave matter. Discussions to date have been constructive and Iceland is confident that a mutually acceptable solution can be reached. The Icelandic negotations committee returns today from London. Iceland remains committed to a continued dialogue and is hopeful that discussions will resume as early as next week..

I think you’ll find Iceland did that all by themselves.

That is the main objective for the British and Dutch governments, and has been since they brought down the Icelandic economy along with the Iceland private banks, one only has to read the icesave deal and look at the chain of events to realize this, the British and Dutch governments are financial terrorists, just like the German authorities who are demanding the Greek people surrender Greek islands.
Icelandic people have declared war on terror with the referendum today, i hope other nations will think alike and protect their country and people against financial terrorists.
To me it seems that iceland just doesn’t want to repay the help it’s been given. Iceland have screwed the UK & Dutch over a messed up banking institute. You owe us both – pay up and i’m not that impartial to sanctions / taking over your primary assets. The effect you have had on our local governments has been the reduction in hospital services,care services,etc. Get a grip and pay your debts.
If you go to the casino, you can’t claim your money back.
Because many Dutch governmental institutions (city councils, counties etc) have used Icesave. Was this for the benefit of the governmental institutions and reducing taxes, or were benefits (interest) re-directed to individuals and the original amounts without benefits returned to the authorities?
The Brits and Dutch have no business to claim from the people of Iceland their own greedy mistakes.

Well, what do you spect, that they will not want to talk anymore, off course If you send a letter asking them to keep on talking in the future, off course any diplomat will answer you that they are open for talks, they wont tell you: “no we dont want to talk to you anymore F.U.” This man and woman are ready to do what ever even sell their family just to remain in power.
