Teenager murdered in Sweden

swedish-policeA 16 year old boy has confessed to the murder of a 15 year old girl in Stureby in Sweden, Dagens Nyheter reports. The girl was murdered last Saturday night while celebrating the arrival of the summer holidays. The victim was found dead in a small forest area and two teenagers, a boy and a girl, were soon arrested. The boy was charged with murder and the girl with being an accessory to murder. The boy has now confessed in court.

The motive is still relatively unclear but it is known that the victim and perpetrators knew each other. Police don’t want to go into any detail but are saying that the trio had a very complicated and “love related” relationship. The murdered girl had not been sexually abused and was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol when she was killed.

Stureby is a residential area in southern Stockholm and is currently in a state of shock. The area is described both by residents and by the Police as a calm and peaceful neighbourhood. The school, Police and the social services had not seen any forewarning or signs of violent behaviour from the suspects.
