Iceland takes Airwaves to London

Photo: Arni TorfasonThe famous Icelandic music festival, Iceland Airwaves is going on a pleasure trip. On Friday 19th September, London will get its very own taste of the madness, as London Airwaves takes hold of the East End for a one night spectacular celebrating Iceland Airwaves’ tenth anniversary.

The festival will stick to the Reykjavik format, taking in eight venues within walking distance of each other allowing ticket holders the freedom to move between venues at will.

Among the two dozen acts already confirmed are Teenagers, Florence and the Machine and The Whip. And the list is not yet complete by any means.

The tenth annual Iceland Airwaves will transform Downtown Reykjavik into a hotbed of beer-fuelled creativity, and creativity-fuelled fun, from 15-19 October.
