Icelandic low cost airline Iceland Express has revealed its new healthy menu, due to reach the lips of the flying public on 1st June.
Working in co-operation with Icelandic ready-made health food company Avaxtabillinn, Iceland Express says it is responding to the increasing number of requests from health conscious passengers.
The new menu puts a strong emphasis on substituting artificial ingredients with fresh fruit and vegetables without costing the passenger a fortune. New offerings will include salads, fruit salads, pasta dishes, pizza slices and an improved sandwich selection.
“Passengers have increasingly been asking for more fresh and healthy food onboard and therefore we decided to change our menu in co-operation with Avaxtabillinn. The company is known for producing high quality product that we are proud to be able to offer our passengers,” said Matthias Imsland, managing director of Iceland Express.
