Zurich Financial Services plans to expand its operations and offer services to customers in Norway and Denmark with the opening of two new branches of Zurich Insurance Ireland Ltd (ZIIL) in 2008.
ZIIL is based in Dublin and offers broad insurance coverage for cross-border risks in Europe. The company operates offices in several European locations including in France, Belgium, Italy and the UK. In Scandinavia, ZILL operates in Finland, Sweden and the Netherlands.
The CEO of Zurich Global Corporate, Geoff Ridell said: “The expansion of our ZIIL branch network reflects Zurich’s commitment to profitably grow our European Corporate business in selected markets and broaden our General Insurance products and services offering in Europe.”
Zurich’s global corporate operations in Denmark and Norway have been managed by the Scandinavian insurance company TyygVesta since 2002. However, the company’s agreement with TrygVesta will come to an end this year.
