Little hope for white Christmas in southern Iceland

There is a very little hope for a white Christmas in southern Iceland this year. Snow is now a luxury over Christmas, a luxury that Icelanders are seeing less and less of. At present it looks likely that just northwestern and northeastern parts of Iceland will enjoy a white Christmas. There is a slight chance that it might snow in Iceland’s capital Reykjavik on the 24th, but Boxing day is more likely to produce snow and bring with it the magic of white Christmas.
