An Icelandic packaged seafood meal manufacturer has recently announced a new range of meals for distribution with a retailer in the UK. Coldwater Seafood, a member of the Icelandic Group, is looking forward to increased sales in the UK through the new deal.
The new range of frozen seafood meals being offered by Coldwater includes South Atlantic Ocean hake, Pacific Ocean cod and yellowfin sole, and yellowfin tuna from the Indian Ocean.
The new range of products reflects a more intense focus on global sustainability, according to the company. Coldwater Seafood specifically sought out alternative fish species to use in its meals for this purpose.
The company’s commercial director, Henril Moeller, said, “This is an exciting launch for Coldwater and underpins our strategy to be the UK’s leading innovator and manufacturer of seafood meals.”
Coldwater Seafood, which specialises in seafood meals for retailers in the UK, recently reported annual sales in excess of £130 million.
