The Eurovision Song Contest 2013 which took place in Malmö, Sweden on Saturday night saw the victory of Denmark with the song “Only Teardrops” sung by twenty year old Emmelie de Forest.

Icelandic band Sigur Rós will feature in The Simpsons Season Finale this weekend. The episode, which will see some of its main characters visit Iceland, will feature an entirely original score composed by the band – a first for the famous American adult sitcom now concluding its 24th season.

Music streaming service Spotify expands today into seven new markets, among which Iceland, as well as all three Baltic states. Spotify is now available in 31 countries, with Iceland being the last Nordic country to get the online streaming service.
