A ski hill for Copenhagen?

Copenhagen’s City Council has put its support behind a plan to convert part of Amager into a comprehensive recreation site. The development is expected to cost the city around 564 million kroner, and will even include an artificial ski slope at Klovermarken.

Swede’s swimsuit disqualifies her world record

In a controversial ruling by Australia’s swimming regulatory body, Swim Australia, one of Sweden’s most famous swimmers was disqualified, after breaking her own world record, for wearing two swimsuits. Therese Alshammar was told her new world record in the 50 metre butterfly at the Australian Championships was ruled out due to new regulations regarding swimsuits.

Norway gets unexpected football win

Norway got a pleasant surprise when its national football team beat Germany 1-0 in a friendly match last week. It’s been 73 long years since Norway last upset the Germans on the football pitch. Germany was the runner-up at last summer’s European Championships, which makes the win all the more impressive.
