Iceland cleared of all claims in Icesave dispute

This morning at a hearing in Luxembourg, the EFTA Court rejected all claims made by the EFTA Surveillance Authority against the Icelandic state in the Icesave dispute.

European regulators: Iceland violated EU rules for Icesave clients

Old Landsbanki to sue PriceWaterhouseCoopers for ‘deliberate’ auditing errors

The resolution committee of the failed Icelandic bank Old Landsbanki has subpoenaed the international auditing firm PriceWaterhouseCoopers, accusing the company of creating wrong annual accounts which misled the markets. The committee’s damages claim runs to hundreds of millions of krónur.

EFTA to take Iceland to court over Icesave

ESA, the EFTA (European Free Trade Association) surveillance authority, has decided to take the Icelandic state to the EFTA court over its handling of the Icesave case. By discriminating against foreign depositors and not reimbursing the British and Dutch governments within one year, it is claimed Iceland broke European law.

UK and NL receive first Icesave refunds, ESA still not sure about legal action
