Keflavik International Airport and Reykjavik’s domestic airport both re-opened yesterday afternoon, and ash cloud forecasts show clear skies for the foreseeable future and no further closures predicted for the time being.

Domestic flights from Reykjavik are likely to resume today and Iceland Express has provisionally decided to fly to and from Keflavik – although this can change at short notice.

The volcanic ash cloud is still keeping Iceland’s Keflavik International Airport closed and domestic flights from Reykjavik are also cancelled again today.

Icelandair has decided its service to Copenhagen today will be cancelled, but an extra flight to Oslo will be provided instead. The flight to Helsinki is also cancelled, but will be replaced with a flight to Tampere. Icelandair will fly to Stockholm today as planned.

Nearly all of the biggest airports in Europe will remain closed to air traffic today due to the cloud of volcanic ash spreading across the continent from the Eyjafjallajokull eruption in South Iceland. 16,000 were cancelled yesterday alone.
