Arguably Iceland’s biggest pop star and Eurovision Song Contest veteran and pundit, Pall Oskar (A.K.A. Paul Oscar) has eaten his hat during a live broadcast after having been totally sure that the Icelandic song ‘Coming Home’ would not make it through last night’s semi final.

Eurovision joy for Iceland and Finland, Norway unlucky

Three Nordic nations were among the 19 competing in tonight’s Eurovision Song Contest semi final in Dusseldorf, Germany. The teams from Iceland and Finland will appear again in Saturday’s final; but Norway goes home disappointed.

Second Eurovision semifinal tonight

Denmark and Sweden will both compete in the second semi final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo this evening. Ten of the 17 participants will go through to Saturday’s final.
