The head of one of Sweden’s largest ever drug rings has been sentenced to nearly two decades behind bars. Forty-year-old Jonas Oredsson had been charged with masterminding a massive smuggling operation from which authorities seized nearly 1.4 tonnes of Columbian cocaine bound for Sweden in 2010.

A crackdown on drug dealers in the Danish capital has resulted in the arrest of 22 individuals suspected of dealing cocaine. The effort took place during a 10-day period in the Vesterbro district, according to a Copenhagen Post report issued at the weekend.

Swede arrested in cocaine car smuggling plot

A Swedish man has been arrested in the US on suspicion of being part of a major cocaine smuggling ring. The 47-year-old, who has not been named, is accused of planning to hide 12 kilos of the class-A drug in car interiors before shipping them to Sweden.

Eight arrested for drugs trafficking in Iceland
