Iceland asked to help set mackerel quota

Icelandic Minister for Fisheries, Jon Bjarnason has officially recognised an invitation sent to him from the European Union, the Faroe Islands and Norway asking Iceland to participate in Mackerel quota setting in the Northeast Atlantic. Many companies in danger of collapse

A total of 22 companies listed on the Copenhagen stock exchange are in danger of going bankrupt. Two of the companies have strong ties to Iceland: the Faroese oil company Atlantic Petroleum and the Danish brewer Royal Unibrew, in which Stodir (formerly FL Group) holds a 16 percent stake and Straumur holds five percent. Iceland and the West Nordics in travel marketing push

The Vestnorden Travel Mart is a joint project of the Greenlandic, Faroese and Icelandic tourist boards. The honour of holding the event rotates between the countries and this year Greenland is in charge of presenting the show, which will be in Copenhagen on 16 and 17 September.
