A wedding in Sweden had to be cancelled this weekend after the groom-to-be was arrested for threatening to kill his fiancée the night before their big day. The royal court of Sweden today announced that Her Royal Highness Princess Madeleine Therese Amelie Josephine has become engaged to Jonas Bergstrom, according to a press release issued by the royal court. The two have been a couple for almost eight years and it is believed that the reason that they have not been engaged before is that it would have been considered inappropriate for the princess to be engaged before her older sister, Crown Princess Victoria.
