Case dropped against soldier author


The Danish military has dropped a case against a soldier who wrote a book which they tried to stop being published. Danish commando Thomas Rathsack was contacted by the Judge Advocate’s office this week and told that the army would no longer be pressing charges. Read the full story

Norway blows Israeli-bound subs out of the water


Norway has told a German shipbuilding firm that it will no longer be able to test Israel-bound submarines in its waters. Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft (HDW) has been asked to find somewhere else to carry out its checks as Norway continues its ban on security exports to Israel. Read the full story

Team hunt for WWII plane stuck in Greenland ice


A recovery team in Greenland is attempting to evacuate and repatriate three servicemen who are thought to have been entombed in a glacier since their plane crashed in WWII. The Coastguard has commissioned a private squad in an attempt to find and finally remove the J2F-4 Grumman Duck biplane from the ice. Read the full story
