Eric Roland Larsson, a 69 year-old Swede who had been working and living in Colombia when he was kidnapped nearly two years ago by FARC rebels has finally been released. Larsson was apparently the only remaining foreigner being held by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Columbia, or FARC. Read the full story

Five employees of a company that makes and sells T-shirts supporting militant groups were convicted in Denmark for violating the country’s anti-terrorism laws. The T-shirts in question were produced by an activist group known as Fighters and Lovers in support of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC). A Danish court acquitted seven people who raised funds for a guerrilla group in the Andes last week, prompting an angry protest from the government of Colombia. The group raised funds through the online sale of t-shirts.
According to the Copenhagen City Court, who ruled on the case, the activities of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) do not constitute as terrorism under Danish law. Although the FARC are known to murder and kidnap, their activities are not intended to strike fear in the general population and therefore do not fall under the category of terrorist activities.
