Iceland is leading against Macedonia 1 – 0 and looks like Iceland is getting their first three point game in the World Cup qualifying. The goal was scored by Veigar Pall Gunnarsson who plays in Norway. just over 5500 people are watching Iceland, something like 1.5% of the Icelandic nation.
The Icelandic Team: Goal: Gunnleifur Gunnleifsson, other players are Gretar Rafn Steinsson, Indridi Sigurðsson, Hermann Hreidarsson og Kristjan Orn Sigurdsson – Brynjar Bjorn Gunnarsson og Stefan Gislason, Eidur Smari Gudjohnsen, Birkir Mar Saevarsson, Emil Hallfredsson – Veigar Páll Gunnarsson.
In the same group Norway is under by a goal against Holland at home, Iceland lost their away match last week against Holland 2 – 0 and managed a draw against Norway 2 -2 in Oslo.
