The airport, in conjunction with Icelandair, are proud to announce that Caraline Zeizel from the USA has won a free trip for two to Iceland and three nights at a luxury hotel, just in time for the summer.

Iceland’s Keflavik International Airport was nominated in the category of ‘Best online marketing campaign 2009’ for its innovative, social media network driven, Christmas campaign.

Keflavik International Airport has been voted the best airport in Europe by participants of an extensive airport service survey by Airports Council International. The comprehensive survey is published quarterly and annually with 140 major airports worldwide taking part, 48 of which are in Europe. Read the full story

In a recent passenger survey conducted by the Airports Council International, Iceland’s Keflavik International Airport has been voted as the best airport in Europe within the first nine months of 2009, for customer comfort and satisfaction.
Stated within the Airports Service Quality survey, passengers found Keflavik International Airport to be calming due to its friendly atmosphere and relaxing ambience.

Around 2 million passengers each year enjoy the services provided by KEF. The duty free shopping on arrival and departure, the friendly ground employees, the restaurants, and the clean facilities all make up Keflavik’s enjoyable and comfortable atmosphere for passengers. The Airports Council International survey placed Keflavik in first place last year in several important categories, as well as ranking it the 8th best airport in the world (for airports serving fewer than 5 million passengers annually).
