It is Reykjavik’s 12th annual Gay Pride weekend and the highlight is always Saturday’s colourful parade. This year the parade starts at 14.00 and tens of thousands of people are expected to turn out to participate.
Organisers hope for a turn out of 70 to 80,000 people for the parade and the following outdoor concert on Arnarholl hill in the centre of the city. As always, the concert is headlined by Iceland’s biggest pop star, Pall Oskar.
Reykjavik Gay Pride has a full schedule of events from Thursday to Sunday and is one of Reykjavik’s biggest and most popular annual events.

As an ‘alien’ that had lived in Iceland for 3 years before leaving….its nice to see that you have an International event that you can actually ‘showcase’ your Prime Minister…cause she has done nothing else on the International stage except ban strip clubs and legalise gay marriages…do you guys get an idea what is wrong with you country….look at the people running it…or should I say owning it or controlling it…think one of the is still wanted by Interpol….HELLO ICELAND…
LOL!!!
