It's just a little sad that whilst companies in Hafnarfjordur are encouraging whale watching, Icelandic Government representatives are in the resort of Agadir, Morocco, arguing for legal commercial whaling. I would like to think that the future for Iceland is a green one, where whale watching becomes part of almost every visitors' experience. We at WDCS are still encouraging people to visit Iceland and take advantage of the remarkable whale watching opportunities, but I know some people will will be concerned about visiting as long as whaling is still practiced.
