“This is totally brilliant,” said Oli Jon Gunnarsson upon hearing that he and his two brothers’ YouTube video had been shown on Jay Leno’s Tonight Show in the USA this week.
The video was created for the winter Thorrablot festival in Iceland as a sketch to entertain guests; but has become a viral internet hit.
In the video, which can be seen here, one brother is confused and made to feel foolish with the ingenious use of a wooden spoon.
Oli told DV that the only thing he is waiting for now is a call from Jay Leno inviting them on the show – but he says his hopes are not high that that will happen.
In the meantime, with its 6.6 million viewers, the Icelandic brothers are happy with their 15 minutes of fame and are excitedly waiting for the episode to be shown on Iceland’s Skjar Einn TV later this week. A viewing party is not out of the question, apparently.

A brilliant clip! Hillarious! i was laughing out loud and still do, doens’t matter how often I see the clip:-) My quesiotn, when it was produced as a sketch, was it acted or real? Anyway, it is funny.
just a shamem that Jay Leno didn’t mention in any wya that it is from Iceland, or that the “actors” are 3 brothers. It was shown in the show-section “if you have friend’s like these…”-videos without any introduction.
That is an old trick, here practiced in the dressing room of Feyenoord:
