By flying between their US destinations and Trondheim in Norway Icelandair keeps the channels open between the US and Europe over the Atlantic. Despite the eruption happening in Iceland, Keflavik International airport is open and flights have been between Iceland and the US. Now with flights to Norway travellers are able to get to Norway and commute from there to destinations within Europe. The flight information is according to Icelandair.com – Passengers are urged not to go to the airport until flight departures are confirmed.

Probably, Ikeaman. But it all depends on the winds, and the situation at Keflavik may change. Icelandreview reports:
“Ash Fall Forecast for Iceland’s Capital
Meteorologists have predicted a southeasterly wind direction tomorrow evening, which could result in ash from the volcanic eruption in Eyjafjallajökull glacier falling in Iceland’s capital region.
However, the ash fall is only expected to last for approximately one day, as the wind is forecast to blow in from the northeast in the middle of this week, Morgunbladid reports.”
Since Keflavik is only 50 km from the capital, this may affect flight operations, too. If your travel is important, better have a plan B ready, too.

Depends on the day of travel. The wind direction is predicted to change which may mean Iceland will be cut off from N America as well as Europe.
