There was a group of british geologist students on snowmobiles on Myrdalsjokull the same day the volcano erupted, they probably were among the first to see this, there was a interview with them on tv where they said this was a great experiance,
icelanders dislike the british government, but no more than the averige brit does, i have not met any one in iceland that blames british people for anything, and i dont see why any one should.

It isn’t the British people Icelanders are made at, it is Mr. Brown and they wouldn’t do what (some of the British did to them) to their guests. Icelanders are very hospitable people, it is bred into us. No worries.

It would be nice to see the volcano but as somebody from Britain I am afraid that people in Iceland would be nasty to me and throw stuff at me.
