Responding to stimuli isn’t evidence of “having feelings”! A thermostat responds to temperature changes. And a robot fish could change behaviour in response to changes in sensor inputs. Doctorates must be much simpler in Norway than elsewhere.

Of course fish have feelings and will try to avoid death. Why does Norway waste money for such mindless studies?
