I agree with Jim, countries should watch out for financial sharks seeking to exploit their resources. I'm sure a mutually beneficial financial arrangement with patron Denmark will lead to the best result for the people of Greenland.

I barely hear anything coming from Greenland at all in the news. Despite its unpopularity in media, the country has always been working hard for its financial independence and economic growth. It’s good to hear that they’re finally achieving what they’ve been working for.

Are you Greenlanders really sure you want to sever ties with your patron, Denmark? This is not a good time to be a micro state with mega resources.

You will be boarded by financial pirates from Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, Citibank, Bundesbank, Bank of England, and any other global banking cartel lusting to securitize your natural resources. They will use eco-laws to lock you out of your own commons, leave you with the debt, and walk away with the cash. You people up there just don't understand how EVIL and PSYCHOPATHIC these bankers are.

Rather than sever ties, get the Danish government to help finance and build a fresh water extractive industry designed to pipe melted ice to shipping terminals where they fill giant fresh water tankers. In the not-so-distant future, Greenland's ice will be needed to supply fresh water to a thirsty world.
