Iceland FM declines India trip with President

ssur-skarhéðinssonOssur Skarphedinsson, Iceland’s Foreign Minister, says he no longer intends to travel to India with President Olafur Ragnar Grimsson – a comment seen as proof of personal hard feelings between the left-wing government and Iceland’s left-wing president, formerly seen by many as natural allies.

President Grimsson is due to travel to India to receive the Nehru Prize. It will be an official state visit and the Foreign Minister was due to accompany the President and meet with the President of India, Pratibha Patil and the country’s Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, among others.

Skarphedinsson was asked yesterday afternoon if he still intended to travel with Grimsson to India between 14th and 18th January, Visir.is reports. His answer was extremely short and to-the-point: “No”.

very primitive FM, as the banking business. Icelandic FM can not understand that he do not represent himself, but Icelandic state, and do not talk in his own name, but in the name of the state. If all politicians would not communicate because they dislike each other it would be constant war. On the same primitive way and the banks were doing private business, and Icelandic citizens and state should not pay a dime for personal crimes. On the same way and Italian state should be forced to pay for all crimes of Italian mafia, and so on. Clearly, this crime was organised by Icelandic ministers and banksters, very personal, with personal names, and shell stay and be punished as personal, not collective.

A great FM! Primitive, ignorant, or dastardly belongs clearly to Grimsson. He exactly knows that there will be no other solution, than to repay these debit. Grimsson just wouldn’t be the “black man”. What a looser President…
Iceland wanted to fly at higher game, they thought they where the best. Whatever, at the end they fall deep, deeper than any others. And that was absolutely 100% their own fault!
Surely Iceland can follow the “Argentine way”, but then everyone should realize, that nobody take Iceland seriously. And that others will spitting on it!

It’s a bit more complicated… Keep in mind that Iceland’s president has crushed a year of negociations and hard work and created a renewed wave of domestic political, economic and financial uncertainty. As far as the people of Iceland and their businesses are concerned, this cannot be good news.

Ossur must be fired immediately. He is hired and paid by PEOPLE of ICELAND. But he behaved like old commy – by thinking he is above people and just serves himself.
As it was pointed out above – he is just a servant. if he doesn’t want to go to India – he must go to hell.

  5. Jimbo (original Jim) says:

The Prime Minister should order the Foreign Minister to do his job. But Johanna probably hates Grimy more than Ossur does…
