This is not the only thing our US government has screwed up. Obama is trying to put money back in the reserve, to make up for what he printed (illegally), and spent on the stimulous. He is doing so at the distress of US citizens, and now European citizens. When will the world wake up? We need a new President!!!

I mailed my gifts to the Iceland grandchildren on November 25. The US post office said they’d be a delivered in a week to ten days. Fortunately my clever daughter-in-law explained that this year, because the children are so special, they will be getting presents all through January. I paid a bunch of money for that package, and I’m really annoyed that the US gave the contract to an outfit that cannot or will not deliver the goods.

Think before you speak “USicelander” – the US is using SAS because SAS underbid IcelandAir for this contract. It is typical US government protocal to give contracts to lowest bidder, often resulting in poor service at the sake of cost cutting. IcelandAir is a superb airline and business and has remained profitable, safe and reliable in an uncertain economy and industry. It is a shame they are not utilized by the US for such an important task as postal delivery, something they always handled with top notch service.

Secondly, it is poor logic and manners to dismiss the argument at hand and wildly try to insult the accuser (ie, Iceland being in a depression, therefore the US should not be responsible for screwing up mail… (??)) – The fact is the economy is a different debate but one which always traces back to poor practices originating in the US. Iceand might have been first to fall to these circumstances createdddddd by a few greedy people, but thats hardly a relevant argument. Namecalling and wild finger pointing hardly earns you any respect.

Leave it to the US as usual? Look at yourselves first before blaming others for your problems, last time I checked Iceland is in a depression because of your stupidity and greed. Mail is going to the Mainland via SAS because Icelandair cannot uphold it’s obligation, so blame Icelandair. Way to screw reality up Silvia from Iceland just like all your country folk as usual.

I live in the USA and the post office is so backwards, sorry my peeps-Icelander’s. Be happy and it will come, figure out a way to change this BS, love one of your own-E.Alfredsdottir. Everything is goofy here b/c of the War’s!!!! Such BS, but remember many Iclandics are in the USA for one reason or another. I am with you, Bless Elka min folk!
