The feared cutbacks in Reykjavik City’s welfare provision will not happen, despite the welfare department’s budget cuts next year.
The department is due to cut back by ISK 175 million next year; but despite this, department head Jorunn Frimannsdottir says the savings must and will be made in optimisation and streamlining and not in the loss of any fundamental services, Visir.is reports.
