Finns are selfish people who do not care for their own disabled and elderly, yet they hold themselves out to the rest of the world as a model Nordic welfare state (and much of the world believes it). The propaganda and image control that comes out of Finland is staggering. Thank goodness the United Nations monitors these sorts of things or we would not even know about them. The U.N. should impose sanctions on Finland until The United Nations Convention for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities is ratified by this so called "progressive" country. Join the civilized world, Finland, and give your disabled people the basic human rights that the U.N. and 70 countries that have signed the treaty believe they should have. Finland should ratify the treaty.
